Saving Stormboy Country - the treasury

Well, I have a treasury on etsy by this title so please check it out. Feel free to leave a comment if you wish but certainly check out all of the beautiful items, most of them are other Australian sellers from one of my street teams, the DUST team.
And music to my eyes, aka Wiccked from etsy was nice enough to blog about it too! Thank you :)

Saving Stormboy Country

I don't get on the soap box often, but this is about my homeland so I will. The Coorong is a beautiful, unique region of the world that is dying. The cause is hard to pin down because I believe it is many different things, mostly an attitude of disrespect for the environment masked as 'progress'. The way to fix it is hard to swallow for many, as it means excepting that this river system has been mismanaged and can never be treated as it has been again.
I will leave it at that, and let the following links do the rest of the talking for me.
Some photo's of this beautiful region. A CSIRO report. The Save The Murray website. The problems of letting in the sea water. And another blog dedicated to this issue.

Lastly, this is one of my favourite pieces of jewellery, an ode to this unique part of the world.

just a small plug...

Just wanted to let you know about an amazing local company that makes natural, organic skincare products.
Roseneath Organics started 9 years ago as a bit of a hobby, but they have really grown over the last few years and are definitely worth checking out.
I swear by their head lice treatment. ONLY thing that works and makes your hair actually healthier!

waiting is so hard!!!

Last year I had one of the most beautiful experiences of my life at a lovely LITTLE festival here in our pretty Adelaide Hills called common ground. And I have been waiting ever since for the next one!!! What can be better than three days of lazy hanging out with 150 jugglers, fire twirlers, beautiful, alternative and hug-filled people? Yay, only 18 more sleeps!!!
(oh, and I will be selling my jewellery there)

hold music....

I am a bit in love with Architecture in Helsinki, but my 9 year old daughter loves them even more. This is her favourite song, hold music. She has just worked out our stereo, so this cd is playing often in our house :)

here comes spring.... wheee!

Just a short post, too much sunshine, not enough picnics :)
Here is something sweet from TummyMountain that I think sums things up beautifully at the moment...
