Latest project

Over the next few months I will be giving my partner-in-crime dreadlocks. And the best tool for this? A 1.25mm crochet hook! Big thanks to my friend Shane for teaching me this technique, he spent about 7 hours dreading Richie's hair at common ground. And man do his fingers move fast!

I'm with the band :)

So, a few months ago I mentioned the band my partner-in-crime is in with a few friends. I have finally remembered I was suppose to post a link of them drumming (my bad).
They go by the name of Grasshopper and have a LOT of gigs during the Adelaide Fringe Festival, so look out for them! That or go hunting for them around Rundle Street on a Friday or possibly Saturday night, they often go busking but rarely all three of them.

This is their facebook group, where you can get info on who they are, what they do and where to find them next.
love.

colour, colour, colour

So, I'm just a bit hooked on staying up late making palettes and patterns on Colourlovers.

What a beautiful weekend! Just a short post to tell you about the treasury west I made on etsy as a tribute.

Roller Derby!

So, I realised I haven't given you all an update on the final bout for the year. It was great fun, these ladies are inspiring! And they have officially launched their website, so check it out!
The match started out tight, but the Salty Dolls took home the trophy, even after Mumma Bloks came down hard and had to sit out the last 10 mins. The match ended with Ms Sheen (Salty Dolls) and Barrelhouse Bessy (Mile Die Club) falling over hugging and starting a bit of a stacks-on. Cause even though this is a competitive sport, this is about support and empowerment.
And you can catch a doco about these ladies called 'Talk Derby to Me' (Skate Rattle and Roll) as part of the Feast Festival here in Adelaide and maybe even in your town sometime in the future as part of 'I Can See Queerly Now'. It will be screening at the Mercury Cinema on the 28th of November, and hopefully all over the world soon after!

Go teams!

I am feeling very loved right now. I have just posted a raku bowl for sale on etsy, reserved for Wiccked, another member of the DUSTteam. She has been so helpful and supportive. And I have had lots of wonderful feedback the etsymudteam, my other etsy team. There has also been some very funny conversation, the mud team forum is always fun!
